   Ballet I Teacher – one day a week I teach the basic foundations of Ballet to children ages 5-7.

   Stage Manager – for their company production of The Nutcracker & annual spring ballet performance.

 

MOVE Hip Hop Dance Club                           Saratoga Springs, New York                   

  Instructor & Choreographer – taught a hip hop class and choreographed dances for Saratoga High

       School students.  Most of the students in MOVE have been classified with a learning disability or

       handicap such as Asperger’s and Down Syndrome.

   Hip Hop Instructor – taught a one day hip hop class open to children and adults at the Dance +20

       Festival.

 

Total Body Trifecta                                        Saratoga Springs, New York                   

   Creative Movement Instructor – three week summer session (3 lessons) based upon the ballets performed

       by the NYC Ballet.  Children 3-5 years of age learn about the ballets through active story telling,

       creative dancing, and crafts.  

   Fitness Instructor – Latin Jazz and a modified Adult Ballet class.

EDUCATION STUDIES

    

Early Childhood Center                                 Saratoga Springs, New York                      

   At Skidmore’s Lab School, I worked 2 hours a week in the pre-school classroom.  I created an art lesson    

   using the Reggio Emilio Approach as well as implemented two solo teaching days of lessons based on

   dance.

 

Schuylerville Elementary School                  Schuylerville, New York                             

   As a part of the Education Studies’ class “Learning in Childhood Settings” I taught two half-days a week

   with Mrs. Lindsay Charbonneau as my mentor in her 1st grade class.

 

Edendale Primary School                              Cullinan, Pretoria, South Africa                 

   Through a Skidmore summer program I traveled South Africa for a month.  For about a week and a half

   we student taught in Edendale.
